Women's Empowerment Portrait Project:
A Means To Creating Bonds of Respect, Strength, and Support Between Women.
I am currently working on a photographic portraiture project that will help women emerge from generations of being undervalued, discounted and abused, both emotionally and physically. The project will contribute to a reversal of low self esteem, self doubt and fear. Through my portraits I provide a mirror that reflects strength, determination, love, independence and self affirmation. I am working with women of all ages, and from various cultures and economic groups in order to encourage and further constructive, supportive conversations among women. We must talk about and make changes in all issues: our ability to be free from judgement, our access to healthcare, what empowerment means to us as individuals, about recovery from traumatic events and so much more. I will also work with education and training centers whose purpose is to elevate the level of women's employable skills, adding to a sense of pride and self-worth. I look forward to sharing each story, one by one with you. Furthermore, I'm happy to report that a compilation of these stories will find their way to a book that's in the works! For more information about the project please contact me via my contact page, Instagram or Facebook Messenger.
