I'd like to introduce myself to you. I am a New York City fine art photographer with a huge curiosity about the world I live in. Through my eyes and heart things bigger than myself are seen and noted in a photograph. I can't help myself. I spot something and it grabs me. Sometimes it's curiosity, sometimes it's something else that gets my attention; the colors, the forms, the context or perhaps the emotions I catch from a person or group of people. Sometimes a memory comes to mind, either emotionally or physically, or both. I feel the things I see and they stand out as beautiful and poignant. They add richness and connection to my world. I feel compelled to share these images through photography. If you feel it, then I've done my job. Thank you for experiencing my vision.
Before the Covid 19 pandemic began I was working on a personal project, the Women's Empowerment Portrait Project. The purpose of the project is to connect you to the lives of so many women whose stories and experiences are real. The stories have not disappeared but through this pandemic many lives have changed, including my own. The Empowerment Project has been placed on hold indefinitely. It will reappear when all of our lives have found their new "normal". I wish you the very best in finding yours!
